We’re on the hunt for a SCADA Engineer to join our team and revolutionize how we manage wind turbines. If you're passionate about data-driven decisions, optimizing renewable energy systems, and working with cutting-edge technologies, this role could be your next career highlight!

As a SCADA Engineer, you’ll be at the core of our operations, ensuring the seamless integration, performance, and troubleshooting of SCADA systems for our wind turbine fleet. Your work will help us harness the power of real-time data to keep turbines spinning efficiently and sustainably.

What You’ll Be Handling Day-to-Day

SCADA System Management:

You’ll oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of SCADA systems, ensuring reliable data collection and seamless integration with wind turbine controls.

Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:

When issues arise, you’ll dive deep into system diagnostics to identify, analyse, and resolve them quickly—minimizing downtime and maximizing performance.

Upgrades & Development:

Collaborate with the team to implement software upgrades, improve system functionality, and ensure cybersecurity compliance.

Cross-Team Collaboration:

Work closely with field technicians, engineers, and the control room team to maintain high operational standards and resolve any technical challenges.

What You Need to Make the Cut

Technical Expertise:

• Knowledge of major OEM MS Windows based on SCADA system. To include:

1. Control system integration.

2. Engineering control interface.

3. Data acquisition and storage.

Reporting and data analysis:

• Knowledge of turbine controls systems (PLC based) and SCADA integration.

• Knowledge of the following SCADA/industrial protocols:

1. RS232/RS485 Serial

2. Serial MODBus, TCP MODBus

3. OPC DA and UA

4. DNP3

5. Digital and analogue interfaces.

• Wind Farm Control systems and customer interfaces.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of networking protocols. Including the ISO network model. Knowledge of subnetting and VLANS, ACLs and NAT.

• Knowledge of networking equipment, switches, routers etc. and how to plan/build a network.

• Experience with cybersecurity best practices in industrial systems is a plus.

Soft Skills That Set You Apart:

• Sharp problem-solving skills and a keen analytical mindset.

• A collaborative spirit that thrives in a dynamic team environment.

• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Practical Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel occasionally to support on-site operations.

• The right to work in the EU without restrictions.
