Your Role

The HSE Advisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across our fleet of Onshore Wind Turbines in the UK. The role involves risk assessments, safety training, audits, and fostering a strong safety culture within the organisation.

What You’ll Be Handling Day-to-Day: 

• Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and best practices across renewable energy projects.

• Develop site critical  QHSE  documentation  in  order  to  perform  all  works  on  site,  e.g. CoSHH Assessments, Risk Assessments, Work Procedures etc.

• Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe work practices in accordance with regulatory requirements.

• Provide HSE training and toolbox talks to employees, contractors, and stakeholders.

• Monitor and report on environmental and safety performance, ensuring compliance with legal and industry standards.

• Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Carry out site inspections and audits, ensuring adherence to occupational health and environmental regulations.

• Support emergency response planning and crisis management strategies.

• Promote a strong safety culture through engagement with site teams and leadership.

• Liaise with regulatory bodies and assist the head of QHSE ensure compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other industry standards.

• Assist the Head of QHSE to develop and monitor QHSE performance, progress, preventive and corrective action plans.

• Provide advice and support to the site teams on QHSE issues.

• Prepare, update and track QHSE statistical data as required.

• Work with Management to satisfy the needs of our customers within the bonds of contractual compliance.

• Support the Head of QHSE on all QHSE matters.

What You’ll Need in Your Toolkit:

✔️A minimum of a NEBOSH General certificate or equivalent HSE certification required.

✔️Experience in onshore renewable energy projects would be advantage.

✔️Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and best practices in the energy sector.

✔️Experience with permit-to-work systems, risk assessments, and HSE audits.

✔️Ability to work in remote locations and conduct site-based safety support.

✔️Relevant working experience in safety, environment, quality, engineering, HSE management systems or project management.
