Job description

Ready to make waves in the renewable energy industry? We’re looking for a Travel Service Technician to join our team and keep our wind turbines in the Netherlands spinning smoothly. If you’re up for the challenge of optimizing turbine performance and maintaining the highest safety standards, this could be your next great adventure! Your Mission: Keep the Turbines Turning

Your Mission: Keep the Turbines Turning

As a Travel Service Technician, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, traveling to the Netherlands on two-week shift patterns followed by two weeks off. You’ll conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and perform the repairs that keep our fleet running at peak efficiency. Since you’ll be based in the Netherlands while working, having the right to work in the EU without restrictions is essential.

What You’ll Be Handling Day-to-Day

Maintenance & Troubleshooting
You’ll perform regular inspections and maintenance on our onshore turbines, keeping a keen eye out for anything that might impact performance. When mechanical, electrical, or technical issues arise, you’ll diagnose and address them, ensuring that downtime is kept to a minimum. You’ll also play a role in larger projects like commissioning and onboarding new turbines into our fleet. Staying updated on industry trends and the latest technology is all part of the job—you’ll always be in the loop.

Customer Contact
While you’re on-site, you’ll be the one keeping our customers in the know. You’ll provide regular updates on turbine status, ensuring they’re always up to speed on progress and any developments.

Safety First, Quality Always

Adhering to safety protocols is second nature to you, and you’ll ensure that every task meets industry standards. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the quality of all turbine components and understanding how each part fits into the bigger picture. Your commitment to safety and quality means you’ll be accountable for the smooth operation of both electrical and mechanical systems in our turbines.

Driving Improvement Through Collaboration:

You’ll work closely with engineering and operational teams to make ongoing improvements that boost turbine performance. Using error and gap analysis, response times, and operational data, you’ll help ensure that our fleet is always performing at its best. Occasionally, you’ll join forces with the control room, contributing to the remote monitoring of turbines around the world—keeping everything running like a well-oiled (or wind-powered) machine.

Job requirements

What You Need to Make the Cut:

  • License & Right to Work: A valid driver’s license and the ability to work in the EU without restrictions.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in electrical/mechanical systems is a plus.

  • Technical Skills: A strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

  • Readiness: Comfortable working at heights and in changing weather conditions.

  • Tools of the Trade: Proficient in using technical manuals and diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting.

  • Experience: Proven background in maintaining, repairing, or servicing mechanical or electrical systems, ideally in the renewable energy sector.

Soft Skills That Elevate You:

  • Cool under pressure—you can handle any gust that comes your way.

  • A problem-solving pro, with an eye for the little details that make a big difference.

  • A true team player, ready to collaborate and support your colleagues.

If you’re excited about keeping the turbines turning and making a real impact in renewable energy, we want to hear from you! Apply today, and let’s shape the future of clean energy together! 🌎💨
