This will not be a standard vacancy text for just any legal counsel. Although we’re looking for someone capable reading, writing, explaining and pushing back on tough legal texts and contracts, we’re also looking for someone fitting our open, fast changing and multicultural team! Full Circle is growing, and were growing fast! So far we’ve been using a Shared Service Center when it comes to legal advise and input, but we are ready to onboard the function to our company. That means that you will not only be involved heavily in commercial activities (tendering processes), you will also be training your colleagues on legal opportunities and limitations, further professionalize our ways of working, embed the profession in our company and be gatekeeper for all legal documents.


Reporting to our CEO you will be:

  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents and contracts specific to O&M’s, including Supply Agreements, maintenance agreements, components purchase agreements, and bank guarantees.
  • Providing comprehensive legal advice to internal stakeholders, particularly in areas related to tendering and contract management.
  • Developing legal tools and frameworks to support the company's growth objectives and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Training Business Development and other department on legal activities, opportunities and risks
  • Advise our directors on legal documents, activities and action to be taken and/or signed
  • Review and maintain current document structure.
  • Act as our expert and point of contact with regards to insurances.
  • Act as company secretary for our group with legal entities in 5 countries including contact with our network of local advisors
  • Support M&A
  • Staying updated on legal developments in the renewable energy sector and communicating relevant updates to the relevant departments.


As a Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in our company's growth trajectory, leveraging your legal expertise to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and facilitate strategic initiatives in our industry.

Job requirements

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Law, preferably English and/or Common law as our biggest market is currently in the UK. It would be great if you know French law as well, but we will work with local advisors.
  • We expect you to be mid-career (7+ years of experience) so that we can grow together. Potentially leading a legal department when we grow further!
  • You come from an international, commercial environment, preferably a multinational. The experience you gained there, will be transferred and applied to the scale up company we are.
  • You are comfortable with your own skills, knowing you will be the only legal professional in the company today. This means we rely on your knowledge and skills.


This vacancy will be for 32 hours a week. Preferably we are looking for someone to join our office in Amersfoort.


Although our headquarters are in the Netherlands, you will join a diverse and international team. Among the approximately 175 people we employ all over Europe, we have over 30 colleagues with 10 nationalities working at the HQ office in Amersfoort, the Netherlands.

We relocated our office in 2023 to create space where our employees can feel focused, and motivated but also comfortable, and connected. Our office features a fully equipped kitchen (yes, we do cook our own lunches from time to time 😉) and an entertainment corner with table tennis and air hockey for a little extra competitive boost when you need it.
