Job description

NOTE upfront:

If you are a candidate, we're very keen to tell you more about this position. Please continue reading!

If you are an agency, Head Hunter or similar 3rd party, please scroll all the way down so you won’t miss our most important message to you.

We’re on the hunt for a Major Component Manager who’s ready to release his or her experience into Full Circle and make a real impact. At Full Circle we’re searching for someone with the vision and drive to take our projects to the next level. If you’re a technically savvy, commercially minded professional looking for an opportunity to shine, this is your moment!

Although we are known for our full scope contracts, we're into major component replacement more and more. As we grow the work, we grow the department and that is why we are looking for someone who can jump on this bandwagon!

What You’ll Be Handling Day-to-Day:

  • You’ll be in charge of the technical side of major projects, like swapping out components and keeping wind turbines running smoothly. If things go off course, you’ll steer them back on track with creative solutions, all while sticking to industry standards and safety rules.

  • You’ll also manage the parts and tools needed for the job, making sure everything’s ready to go — whether it’s coordinating a crane for a heavy lift or keeping inventory up to date. Building solid relationships with suppliers ensures timely deliveries.

  • As the customer’s main contact, you’ll keep them updated on project progress, handling any bumps along the way. You’ll build lasting relationships and keep them coming back for more.

  • You’ll work with the Business Development team, offering technical insights to shape bids and proposals, and using your knowledge of turbine trends to help the business grow.

  • You’ll keep an eye on project budgets, ensuring everything stays on track financially and preparing reports for stakeholders.

  • As the Major Component Manager, you will also lead the Major Component Teams, including Technicians, future Team Leader(s) and Planner, ensuring seamless coordination within the team. As their people manager, you’ll work closely with them, guiding efforts during heavy lifts and driving a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.

Job requirements

What You Need to Make the Cut:

  • Proven experience in managing major component projects within the wind energy sector. As you hit the ground running, we need you to have strong technical knowledge of wind turbine systems and components and demonstrated ability to source and manage specialist parts and tooling.

  • Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.

  • Great understanding of commercial project management, including budgeting and cost control.

You will work from home in the UK, but as you are required on sites quite often, willingness to travel is required.
