Job description

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Maintenance & troubleshooting
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on onshore wind turbines according to established schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, or technical issues impacting turbine performance.
  • Perform repairs or replacement of components as needed, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and service reports.
  • Participate in special projects, such as commissioning, onboarding turbines to our fleet, major component replacement and other.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in wind turbine maintenance and operations.
Customer contact
  • During all activities you are responsible for maintaining customer contact on site to update them on the status

Quality & Safety

  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
  • You are responsible for checking and maintaining quality of all components relating to wind turbine, as well as recognizing interconnections within the system’s architecture.
  • You are accountable for the safe and effective operation of electrical and mechanical components within the wind turbine.

Continuous improvement & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to implement improvements and optimize turbine performance.
  • Continuously improving the performance of our wind turbine fleet based on the error/gap analysis, response times and Operational Data statistics.
  • You will also on occasion work on tasks with the control room, remote monitoring of wind turbines worldwide

Job requirements

Requirement

  • You have a valid driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional electrical/mechanical education or certification in wind turbine maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems as applied to wind turbines.
  • Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions, demonstrating physical fitness and agility.
  • Proficient in using technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and equipment for troubleshooting and repair.
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Proven experience in the maintenance, repair, or servicing of mechanical or electrical systems, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
