Blowing Fresh Ideas into the Wind: Your Role at Full Circle Wind Service

The winds are picking up here at Full Circle Wind Services, and as we continue to grow, our need for extra programming power and automation is rising faster than a kite in a storm!

What does a Developer in the wind industry really bring to the table (or the cloud)? Well, you and the rest of the team make sure our automated alarms are on point, speeding up response times and boosting the quality of support to customers—all while cutting down on the manual work in our control room. You ensure that your colleagues can refocus on their core tasks instead of repeatedly doing the same actions, thanks to the connections you create between software packages. You process and visualize this data like a pro, automating things and keeping everything running smoothly so we can reach new heights!

To do so, you bring your skills in C#/.NET, Python, SQL, and Azure, to streamline operations, optimize data management, and boost our efficiency. You’ll be key in our digital transformation—crafting the code that keeps our systems running seamlessly, enabling faster response times and better support for our customers. Thanks to you, our turbines (and our team) will keep running at full power, making for happier customers and colleagues alike!

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

  • Code Wizardry: Design, develop, and maintain software that powers our wind energy services.
  • Squash Those Bugs: Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features—because every good dev knows you can’t just blame it on the hardware.
  • Keep Latency Low, Spirits High: Ensure our apps are as fast, reliable, and stable.
  • Git Commit to the Cause: Manage code repositories, branching, and merging using GitHub, and avoid those "Merge Conflict Mondays."
  • SQL Expert Mode: Work with SQL databases for data storage, retrieval, and manipulation. If you know what SELECT * really means, you’re our kind of people.
  • Cloud Wrangler: Implement and manage cloud solutions using Azure, because who needs on-prem when you’ve got the cloud? (Well, sometimes we still do, but you get the point.)
  • Testing, Testing, 1-2-3: Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and automated scripts to ensure our code doesn’t implode. Remember, if it’s not tested, it’s just a rumour.
  • Automate All the Things: Continuously improve our processes through feedback, tech innovations, and automation. Our philosophy? If you do it twice, script it.

Job requirements

Role Requirements (For Those Who Still Read Documentation)

  • Experience Level: 2+ years in software development using C# and .NET Framework and/or Python. That’s actual experience, not just watching tutorial videos.
  • SQL Jedi: You’ve moved beyond SELECT * FROM "beginner" and can craft queries in your sleep.
  • Version Control Veteran: Proficiency with GitHub for version control, because versioning code in folders named “final_final_v2” isn’t an option.
  • Cloud Connoisseur: Hands-on experience with Azure. Bonus points if you can explain cloud architecture without using the word "fluffy."

We're looking for someone who’s quality-driven, a developer who doesn't settle for “it works on my machine.” You believe in writing tests—unit, integration, and automated—to make sure the code is solid no matter where it runs.

You’re also a logical thinker with strong analytical skills, ready to tackle any problem that pops up when things go 404. Debugging isn’t just a skill; it’s your superpower. And while you don’t need to be a social butterfly, you’ve got that human interaction protocol down. You communicate clearly and collaborate well with the team, able to debug conversations just as smoothly as you debug code.

Bonus Skills (Because We All Love Optional Side Quests):

  • CI/CD Magician: Experience with pipelines that make deploying code feel like magic.
  • IoT Geekery: Familiar with MQTT for when you need to make things talk to other things.
  • Event-Driven Architecture: Understanding how to design and work with event-driven systems without getting triggered (pun intended).
  • Frontend Fan: Hands-on experience with Next.js and TypeScript to build modern, interactive web apps. Yes, TypeScript is JavaScript, but better.

Important Details (TL;DR Version):

  • This role is full-time.
  • You must be able to work in the Amersfoort office at least 3 days a week—remote work is cool, but sometimes we need actual face-time (no, not the app).
  • We’re unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role, so you’ll need to already have the right to work in the Netherlands.

NOTE TO 3RD PARTIES:

Here at Full Circle we are very lucky to be very successful recruiting all our new employees ourselves. Something we are very proud of.

Despite our kind requests to all of you not to reach out for support in this area, our HR team, hiring managers and our front office are overwhelmed with contact requests, telephone calls, email requests and other attempts to get in touch. We know you guys are out there, we understand that this cold acquisition is part of your job, but we strongly request you to respect our time and not reach out. We want to use all the time we have to make the world a greener place!

If we ever need support, we'll work with our preferred suppliers (and no, we are not looking for new ones ;-))

We appreciate your understanding on this, and we wish you the best of luck on finding your next client.
